We’re proud to call our approach two-faced. Let’s look at the first face.
Mynde.me @ Work is the center of Mynde.me. We believe that not only should every workplace have an employee mental health portal, the workplace could also serve best as the epicenter for employee mental health.
The workplace carries the biggest financial burden of mental health, losing more than $240 billion annually in absenteeism, lost productivity, and additional healthcare costs. So there’s a clear financial incentive to maximize employee mental wellness.
And the home is rarely a good place to address mental health issues because most families are not equipped to help and often exhausted from years of trying and failing.
The Myne.me portal is one of the most comprehensive ever created, offering hundreds of articles and videos, checklists, tests, and self-evaluations, access to free mental health support groups, family mental health, instructor and self-led programs for mindfulness and mediation, achieving happiness for home and career, a private, therapist-led forum, one-to-many therapy sessions (live and on-demand), a newsletter, daily tips, reminders, and inspirations, brain health including diet and exercise programs, brain health and career growth (learning leadership, empathy, social engagement, decision making etc.) and lots more to come.
The Mynde.me portal is a great supplement for an employee mental health program or EAP, (which typically only cover limited treatments like therapy sessions), or where there is no such program.
Our portal is designed and priced so that every workplace can justify and afford it, regardless of size, number of employees, or budget.
Free For The Community Too
Meet the other face of Mynde.me. Imagine if every workplace that hosted a Mynde.me portal made that entire portal available to their local community too? There’s no reason they couldn’t. There’s nothing private, individual, or proprietary on the site, it doesn’t provide access to any corporate networks or resources, and it’s not even connected the client’s own website.
So as a gesture of community support and goodwill, workplaces that sign up for a Mynde.me portal will be asked to consider making that portal also available to their local community.
All our Mynde.me clients will be encouraged to encourage their employees to share their workplace Mynde.me site with their family, friends, networks, and community as a way to improve broader knowledge and awareness of mental health issues and give the local community free access to these valuable resources too.
For clients, it’s a powerful gesture of goodwill and a connection and service to the community. And because the portal is branded exclusively for each client, the gesture offers a unique PR and brand-building opportunity at a very important time. So not only are our clients maximizing the mental wellness of their most valuable asset, they’re “doing well by doing good.”
We believe that if we can get Mynde.me portals into thousands of workplaces, and by extension into thousands of communities, we can bring mental health support to millions of consumers how might not otherwise seek it, have access to it, or know where find it.
